Een multiculturele mix van stijlen

Leeways is een multiculturele mix van stijlen, denk daar bij aan funk,reggae,hiphop en rock.
De band heeft in 2014 “De Grote Prijs van Nederland’ gewonnen, meer dan 250 optredens gedaan in binnen en buitenland op festivals als Zwarte Cross en L’Boulevard festival in Marokko.

Na het winnen van “De Grote Prijs” en het releasen van hun debuut album ‘Tales Of a Madman’ is Leeways in diverse radio shows geweest en heeft de band goede recensies van o.a. MusicMaker.

Leeways fuses reggae, ska, hiphop, funk and rock into a unique sound that creates a very danceable sound and also brings together five people together with very different backgrounds: Russian, Jewish, Israeli, Antillean/Caribbean, and Surinamese-French-Breton.

Hence their unique party-sound – with a serious background: immigration, struggles with the authorities, finding a new balance all the time.

In 2014, Leeways was the winner of the ‘Grote Prijs van Nederland’ (the national Dutch Rock Contest), in the Bands category.
